這篇文章是在回顧種在後牙區最後一顆植牙的mechancal complication, 並統計看看理想上最後一顆植體和前面的牙齒間距多少比較好. 在符合條件的183位患者中有221支植體被納入這個回顧性研究中.

統計的結果mechanical complication高達18.1% (40/221), abutment screw loosening最常見, 佔12.7%; ceramic fracture佔4.1%; abutment screw fracture佔1.4%.

其中和前牙的水平距離以及crown/implant ratio在會不會有machanical failure是有統計上的差異; 水平和前牙的差距最好不要超過3.7mm.
